The Berlin M&A team of GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB advised the Berlin-based corporate group WHITEFIELD on the acquisition of a majority stake in Munich-based real estate investor Omega AG.
The corporate group of Omega AG, with a share capital of 10 million EUR, consists of more than 50 subsidiaries and affiliated companies, and the Omega AG portfolio comprises almost 4,200 residential and commercial units with around 257,000 sqm of residential and usable space. The group's investment focus is on a Value-Add and Manage-to-Core strategy, aiming for long-term value enhancement of properties with a stable rental and yield situation.
With the majority stake in Omega AG, the WHITEFIELD group strengthens its position in the German real estate market, with the aim of significantly expanding the real estate portfolio. Gradually, acquisitions of approximately 10,000 additional residential units in Germany in the affordable housing segment are planned. Simultaneously, the capital structure of Omega AG is intended to be significantly reinforced.
A GÖRG team led by Emre Özbek and Dr. Thomas Winkemann advised the WHITEFIELD group in the successful transaction.
