Dr Thomas Winkemann has extensive experience in advising companies and entrepreneurs on corporate law in connection with reorganizations and capital measures as well as in the participation of investors in companies.

Furthermore, Dr Thomas Winkemann advises entrepreneurs and other private individuals on a long-term basis on asset and company succession as well as on foundation law.

Coming from an entrepreneurial family himself, Dr Thomas Winkemann knows the importance of structuring, asset protection and succession for both private and corporate assets. This also includes the structuring of transfers during lifetime and of testamentary dispositions, marital property agreements and prenuptial agreements.

Dr Thomas Winkemann is a partner at the Berlin office of GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB. Before joining GÖRG, he worked as a lawyer and tax advisor at various international firms in Frankfurt am Main and Berlin.

After completing his law studies at universities in Gießen, Lausanne and Heidelberg, Dr Thomas Winkemann completed his legal training in Heidelberg. He then obtained his doctorate in law from Heidelberg University under Prof Dr Peter Hillenkamp.

He was admitted to the bar in 1993.
