[Cologne, ] GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB advised all3media Deutschland GmbH on the acquisition of _wige SOUTH&BROWSE GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of publicly traded SPORTTOTAL AG (formerly _wige MEDIA AG). With its some 30 employees, _wige SOUTH&BROWSE GmbH produces TV entertainment formats, magazines, documentaries and factuals. Its portfolio of clients includes private and public broadcasters such as, for example, the ProSiebenSat. 1 Group, ZDF and Bayerischer Rundfunk. The transaction has already been completed.
all3media, which is based in London, is a joint-venture undertaking of Liberty Global and Discovery Communications and a leading independent television, film and digital production and distribution company with subsidiaries in Europe, New Zealand and the U.S.A. The new acquisition will enable the all3media Deutschland GmbH subsidiary to expand its activities in the area of factual entertainment.
Cologne-based SPORTTOTAL AG is a technology and media company that is growing in the area of digital business with video platforms and live event business.
all3media Deutschland GmbH completed the transaction with support in the areas of corporate, labor and media law from a specialized M&A team from GÖRG headed by the lawyer Dr. Sascha Lehmann.
A team headed by Dr. Sascha Lehmann had already advised all3media Deutschland GmbH in the middle of this year in connection with the creation of a joint venture with Bon Voyage Films
