GÖRG advised OFB Projektenwicklung GmbH on the acquisition of a site measuring approximately 222,000 m² in the north-east of Leipzig, located near the A 14 motorway. A new logistics and commercial park is to be developed on the former industrial site, taking sustainability aspects into account.
OFB Projektentwicklung GmbH, based in Frankfurt am Main, develops and implements real estate projects throughout Germany as a subsidiary of Helaba Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen and part of the Helaba Real Estate Group.
At the beginning of 2026, OFB acquired the former industrial brownfield site at Kossaer Straße 2 in Leipzig. The transformation of the site into a modern logistics and commercial park will be implemented in stages. With a focus on sustainability, six halls with flexible units are planned, complemented by office and social areas, parking spaces for cars and lorries, and green outdoor facilities. The 222,000 m² site is currently still partly in commercial use and includes existing buildings from the former production of precast concrete elements. In terms of site area, this represents one of the largest brownfield transactions in Germany in the logistics sector in recent years.
OFB aims to design the project from the outset in accordance with DGNB Gold and EU taxonomy criteria. The development also includes plans for around 30,000 m² of photovoltaic panels, almost 20,000 m² of green roofs, a heat pump concept and rainwater retention measures.
