GÖRG was honoured with the M&A Award 2026 in the “M&A Legal Advisory” category by the German Mergers & Acquisitions Association (Bundesverband Mergers & Acquisitions). The award ceremony took place on 15 October 2026 at TIPI am Kanzleramt in Berlin.
The German M&A Association presented this award in recognition of the legal advice provided by a GÖRG team led by Frankfurt-based Partner Markus Beyer, LL.M., in connection with a corporate transaction.
The award-winning transaction centred on the succession arrangements for a family-owned supplier in the medical technology sector. The buyer was a family-owned group which integrated the company into its value chain as a strategic component, having had a business relationship with the supplier for many years. GÖRG advised the buyer on the transaction.
In addition to the legal challenges, the transaction required considerable sensitivity and tact. his was also highlighted in the laudatory speech: The success of such a transaction depends not only on contractual arrangements, but also on how legal advice combines legal expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to bridge two different entrepreneurial perspectives.
The M&A Award is presented by the German Mergers & Acquisitions Association in ten categories, divided into the areas of 'Corporate' and 'Advisory'. The “M&A Legal Advisory” category recognises the highest standard of legal advice, from transaction structuring and contract negotiations to regulatory implementation.
This award highlights GÖRG's expertise in providing legal advice on complex national and international M&A transactions.
