GÖRG wins team around financial supervisory law expert Dr. Matthias Terlau

[Cologne, ] With Dr. Matthias Terlau, GÖRG has gained a recognised expert in the field of financial supervision law. He will move from Osborne Clarke, where he currently heads the Banking and Capital Markets Practice Group, to the Cologne office of GÖRG on September 1, 2018. The experienced associates Patrick Smith and Laura Meliß as well as Mark Gebauer are moving with him.

As an internationally recognised expert in the field of banking and payment regulation, Dr. Matthias Terlau has decisively advanced developments in this area. He advises German and international market players such as banks, payment service providers, FinTech companies and other technical service providers on applications for permits, the design of new products, outsourcing and transactions in which companies subject to supervision are involved. In the area of capital market regulation, Matthias Terlau advises on complex capital market transactions and compliance issues. Terlau about his move to GÖRG: "I am very pleased about the new position and am convinced that we can excellently complement and further expand GÖRG's already considerable Banking & Finance practice with our expertise in the area of banking and financial supervision law, in particular also in the area of FinTech".
