GÖRG advises Clondalkin with the sale of part of its packaging activities to Schur Flexibles
[Cologne, ] GÖRG has advised the Dutch Clondalkin Group, part of the private equity firm Egeria, under the leadership of the Cologne partner Dr Oliver von Rosenberg on the German law aspects of the sale of Hänsel Flexible Packaging GmbH, Cats Flexible Packaging B.V. and Nimax B.V. to Schur Flexibles.
About Clondalkin Group
The Clondalkin Group is an international manufacturer of premium packaging with several production sites throughout Europe and North America. Cats Flexible Packaging and Hänsel are specialized manufacturers of premium confectionery packaging solutions based in Rotterdam (Netherlands) and Freital (Germany). Nimax focuses on innovative paper-based solutions in the tobacco and tea market and has a manufacturing facility in Elst, the Netherlands. The three locations with around 135 employees generate a sales volume of more than € 30 million (2017). The Schur Flexibles Group is an Austrian manufacturer of innovative packaging solutions.
The proposed transaction is subject to the approval of internal and external committees, including the relevant competition authorities.
