GÖRG Partner Nils Meißner has acted as insolvency administrator in the successful sale of RRI GmbH Rhein Ruhr International - Consulting Engineers (RRI), based in Essen. The company had filed for insolvency with the Essen Local Court on 22 November 2022. The insolvency proceedings were opened on 1 February 2023. In the course of the insolvency proceedings, RRI was sold to Codema International GmbH as part of an assets deal. As a result all jobs could be saved.
RRI is an engineering company with decades of experience in the fields of industry, infrastructure and building construction. The company advises, plans and manages mainly national projects for industry and institutions. In the broad fields of engineering technology, RRI is one of the most experienced engineering companies in Germany.
The acquirer Codema is a subsidiary of the globally active Ingérop Group (Ingérop). Through the acquisition, RRI also becomes part of the group. Codema is an engineering company with a focus on industrial, plant, water and power plant construction as well as building construction. The parties involved have agreed not to disclose financial details of the transaction.
GÖRG Partner Nils Meißner acted as insolvency administrator of RRI GmbH in the sale, while Alexander Stock and Welf Nieke of Rödl & Partner advised on the acquisition transaction.
