[Berlin, ] GÖRG advised the Swedish company Vitrolife AB (publ) on its recent acquisition of 100% of the shares in the German companies OCTAX Microscience GmbH (“OCTAX”) and MTG Medical Technology Vertriebs-GmbH. Through this acquisition, Vitrolife is strengthening its market position and expanding its product portfolio into the growing IVF segment.
Vitrolife, founded in 1994 in Gothenburg, Sweden, is a global company that markets products in the field of in vitro fertilization (IVF). Vitrolife AB supports its customers in achieving successful diagnostic and treatment outcomes by offering high-quality solutions and services in the field of assisted reproduction. Vitrolife maintains operations in more than ten countries and distributes products and services in more than 110 countries worldwide. Vitrolife is a recognized market leader and conducts extensive research and development activities in the field of IVF. Additionally, Vitrolife is listed on the NASDAQ OMX Stockholm, Nordic Mid Cap.
GÖRG was retained for the transaction by the Swedish law firm Advokatfirman Lindahl (Partner Olof Thorsell and team, Gothenburg), which acts as Vitrolife’s regular transaction advisor. The Berlin-based GÖRG team consisted of experts in the areas of Corporate/M&A, Healthcare/Public Law, Labor Law, and IP.

OCTAX is the developer and manufacturer of the world-leading OCTAX laser and imaging systems.
