Paul Rode is an associated partner and part of the M&A team at our Hamburg office. He has extensive experience advising national and international companies on international transactions, joint ventures and reorganisations.
As a former start-up entrepreneur, Paul Rode advises founders and venture capitalists on financing rounds and exits.
Paul Rode also advises on all aspects of cooperative legislation. He is one of the few experts for the new legal form of the European Cooperative Society (SCE).
Career
Paul Rode has been an associated partner at GÖRG since 2017.
Before joining GÖRG, he spent a total of ten years in the corporate law and M&A departments of a large international law firm in Hamburg and an international business law firm in Düsseldorf.
He was admitted to the bar in 2007.
From 1999 to 2001, Paul Rode was founder and board member of a venture capital-financed start-up in the tourism sector. In addition, since 1993 he has worked as an author and publisher of books not in the legal field.
Paul Rode studied maths, information technology and law at the University of Hamburg. He completed a clerkship at the German Trade Office in Taipei (Taiwan) during this legal training. He has also lived in London, Rome, Budapest and Dubai.
