GÖRG advised GraVo Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH, an industrial investment company based in Essen, on the acquisition of COOLIKE-Regnery GmbH and WAREG Verpackungs-GmbH, both based in Bensheim. The seller was the former owner family.
Through this transaction, GraVo is strategically expanding its group of companies to include additional production and development expertise in the areas of wet wipes, sachets, flow packs, hygiene products, disinfectant products and specialised filling and packaging solutions. With this acquisition, GraVo is also securing the business succession of COOLIKE and WAREG and contributing sector-specific expertise to support their further development.
Founded in 1979, COOLIKE-Regnery GmbH specialises in the manufacture of wet wipes and hygiene products in a variety of materials, pack sizes and application areas.
The company uses modern manufacturing techniques and continuous quality controls throughout the entire production chain. The products are sold under its own brands as well as as private-label products. Customers include, amongst others, retail chains, discounters, promotional product distributors, pharmacies, airlines and industrial companies.
As part of the COOLIKE Group, WAREG Verpackungs-GmbH has been providing contract packaging, contract filling and contract manufacturing services for the personal care and detergent industries since 1984 – both for the Group and for third-party customers. WAREG employs a total of 80 staff.
The existing sites, established points of contact at COOLIKE and WAREG will be retained and consistently developed further within the group.
The group of companies managed by GraVo Beteiligungsgesellschaft thus comprises Cosmetic Service GmbH, CSE-Cosmetics, B4U Laboratories d.o.o., Asterblume, COOLIKE-Regnery GmbH and WAREG Verpackungs-GmbH. The group supports brands and retail companies from the initial product idea through development, regulatory affairs and packaging procurement to manufacturing, filling, packaging and delivery.
The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price or any further financial details of the transaction.
