GÖRG advises anemos-jacob on acquisition by TÜV Rheinland

Hamburg, 09.03.2026

GÖRG advised anemos-jacob GmbH on all legal aspects of anemos-jacob GmbH’s acquisition by TÜV Rheinland. The transaction involves the integration of the company, which specialises in wind yield assessments and wind measurement services, into the TÜV Rheinland Group.

anemos-jacob has been active in the wind energy market for more than 35 years and is one of the leading wind assessment firms in Germany. The company collects and analyses data at potential wind farm sites in order to estimate the possible energy yields. Its expertise is particularly valuable at sites where reliable yield calculations require enhanced analytical effort or must be carried out under complex site-specific conditions.

By joining the TÜV Rheinland Group, the Lower Saxony-based company will be able to further expand its technical expertise, strengthen its organisational structures over the long term and leverage its existing capacities internationally. At the same time, the acquisition expands TÜV Rheinland's expertise in the planning and evaluation of complex wind energy projects.

A GÖRG team led by Hamburg partner Prof Dr Stephan R. Göthel advised managing partner Herbert Schwartz on all legal matters and negotiations throughout the entire transaction process.

Prof Dr Stephan R. Göthel advises companies from a wide range of industries – from start-ups to market leaders – as well as investors in the areas of M&A, private equity, venture capital, and corporate law.
