Long before the introduction of virtual general meetings and shareholders' meetings in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, the German legislature had stipulated for the first time in the German Bond Act (SchVG) that bondholders could pass resolutions without the need for a creditors' meeting, even though there was no legal precedent for this.
