Dr Mark Oliver Kersting, LL.M. advises national and international companies on banking and capital markets law, corporate law, mergers & acquisitions, and financing.
Dr Mark Oliver Kersting has been a partner at the GÖRG Frankfurt office since 2003, and is a member of the GÖRG Banking & Finance/Capital Market team. He advises, for example, national and international companies on matters relating to banking supervision law, including the German Banking Act (KWG) and the German Payment Services Oversight Act (ZAG). A further focus of his advisory activities is in the field of project financing, in particular with regard to energy projects. Dr Kersting also advises on corporate law and M&A transactions. His activities also include litigation in the aforementioned fields.

After studying law the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, Dr Mark O. Kersting completed his legal training at the Higher Regional Court of Koblenz and also worked as a research assistant under Professor Dr Klaus Müller at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. After completing his LL.M. programme at Yale Law School in New Haven, Connecticut (USA), he obtained his doctorate at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz.
He was admitted to the bar in 1993.
