Katja Maria Weiß advises nationally and internationally active companies in the field of antitrust and competition law. She regularly represents clients in cartel damages claim proceedings before civil courts. In addition, she advises on all aspects of investment control in Germany under foreign trade law.
Expertise
Katja Maria Weiß advises and represents clients in German and European antitrust and competition law, in particular in cartel damage claim proceedings, and has been involved in a number of landmark judgments by the German Federal Court of Justice (Bundesgerichtshof).
Furthermore, she focuses on distribution systems and provides advice on the structuring of joint ventures and co-operations by competitors. In connection with M&A transactions, Katja Maria Weiß not only advises on merger control under competition law, but also on questions of investment control under foreign trade law.
Career
Katja Maria Weiß is an associated partner at GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB. Before joining GÖRG, she worked as a lawyer for an international corporate law firm in Hamburg.
After completing her studies in law as well as business administration (B.Sc.) at the universities of Tübingen and Copenhagen, Katja Maria Weiß completed her legal clerkship in Lower Saxony and Hamburg.
She was admitted to the bar in 2016.
