Michael Demmer advises nationally and internationally operating companies as well as the public sector in the areas of public commercial law, energy law and construction as well as plant engineering law. His focus lies on project development and planning in the energy and infrastructure sector. He advises at the interface of private and public law both on contract drafting and permitting in the course of realization of projects.
Michael Demmer is an associate at GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB.
He studied law, economics (Wirtschaftsjurist Univ. Bayreuth) and European history mainly at the University of Bayreuth. Studies and research have also taken him to Lisbon, Siena and Verona. He is a doctoral candidate at the University of Bayreuth with a comparative law topic on (administrative) consumer protection in the energy sector under Prof. Schmidt-Kessel.
He completed his legal traineeship in the district of the Higher Regional Court of Bamberg, including supplementary studies in administrative science in Speyer and a period in a Member of Parliament's office at the German Bundestag. He spent a further period of training with the European Commission in Brussels, DG ENER.
He was admitted to the bar in 2020.
