GÖRG, led by Munich partners Dr Philipp Grzimek and Dr Bernhard Guthy, has advised Summitas Gruppe GmbH on another company takeover. The acquisition involved the owner-managed David Versicherungskontor GmbH & Co. KG, based in Kiel, was acquired. The insurance broker specialises in insuring risks for commercial and private customers.

Summitas Group was founded in 2022 through a joint venture between JDC Group AG, Bain Capital Insurance and Canada Life and is an integrated industrial and commercial insurance broker with a broad range of products and services to manage its customers' underwriting risks. The acquisition strengthens the Summitas Group's market position in the composite business and expands its activities in the northern German region.

Lutz Richter, CEO of the Summitas Group, commented on the acquisition: "We are delighted to be acquiring David Versicherungskontor GmbH & Co. KG, a very well-managed company from the northern German region that has a high level of acceptance, a large customer network and strong broking expertise in the property business."
