GÖRG advised ENOVA Value on all legal matters related to the acquisition of the project rights for three of the six planned wind turbines in the wind farm project in Lower Saxony. The sellers include, among others, the project developer Jade Concept.
The Thüle wind farm consists of a total of six Nordex N175 turbines, each with a capacity of 6.8 MW, three of which will be operated by ENOVA. The remaining wind turbines will be operated by Jade Concept and local landowners, who are also on the seller’s side. The wind farm is expected to be commissioned in the fall of 2027. The three turbines owned by ENOVA are expected to generate more than 65,000 MWh of green electricity annually. This would theoretically be sufficient to supply around 28,000 households.
Under the lead of partners Dr Ilka Mainz and Dr Ruth Büchl-Winter, a GÖRG team provided ENOVA with comprehensive advice on energy, corporate, and public law issues in connection with this transaction. The advice included, among other things, legal due diligence of the project as well as negotiations of the project agreements and the share purchase agreement.
As a developer, investor, service provider, and operator, the ENOVA Group shapes Germany’s electricity generation. The family-owned company develops wind farms, invests in existing facilities, and, as an independent specialist in wind turbines, is responsible for the maintenance and servicing of hundreds of wind turbines. With more than 1 GW in its portfolio, ENOVA is one of Germany’s largest onshore wind energy operators and currently supplies around one million households with green electricity.
With this transaction, ENOVA continues its trusting collaboration with GÖRG and builds on numerous projects that have already been successfully completed.
