Dr Ruth Büchl-Winter advises national and international companies on corporate law.
Dr Ruth Büchl-Winter specialises in corporate and tax law, with clients primarily in the energy sector. She has many years of experience advising on corporate and tax law, and structuring projects or project developments and M&A transactions, primarily in the energy sector (offshore and onshore wind farms, PV projects, storage plants and conventional power plants). Her focus also includes the ongoing monitoring of projects in the power generation sector. She includes consideration of community rights matters for clients, who often have a municipal background. In addition, Dr Ruth Büchl-Winter offers advice on tax matters such as employment tax, sales tax or property transfer tax law. Dr Ruth Büchl-Winter is a member of the Dutch Desk at GÖRG.

Following her degree in law at the University of Cologne, she also completed her training in Cologne with clerkships at a firm specialising in tax law in Bonn and at a business law firm in Barcelona (Spain). She then gained a doctorate in law from the University of Cologne under Prof Joachim Hennrichs, with a thesis on a taxation topic. During this time, she worked as a research assistant at the “Großen Examens- und Klausurenkurs” at the University of Cologne.
She was then admitted to the bar in 2011 and joined GÖRG.
