Under the lead of partner Prof Dr Stephan R. Göthel, GÖRG successfully advised Blockbrain GmbH on its Series A financing round of €17.5 million. The financing round was led by Alstin Capital and 13books Capital, with participation from the HARTING Technology Group Family Office. In addition, existing investors Giesecke+Devrient Ventures, LBBW Ventures, and Mätch VC increased their commitment.
Founded in 2022 by Mattias Protzmann, Antonius Gress, and Nam Hai Ngo, Blockbrain has established itself as a leading provider of AI-driven process optimization for businesses. The innovative start-up offers its customers comprehensive protection of corporate data and uses AI models to check the quality and integrity of data. Its customers include renowned law firms, conglomerates, and industrial companies such as Bosch and Lindemann.
With the fresh capital, Blockbrain plans to expand security, compliance, and data sovereignty, as well as further develop specialized knowledge and AI agents. In addition, expansion in Europe and the UK is a focus of the growth strategy.
Prof Dr Stephan R. Göthel, partner at GÖRG's Hamburg office, has been supporting Blockbrain since the first financing rounds. In the current Series A round, he and his team ensured that the transaction was successfully completed.
