GÖRG provided legal advice to BMR energy solutions GmbH (BMR) on the sale of the 34 MW Nettetal wind farm project to ENOVA Value II GmbH (ENOVA). The project is part of a strategic partnership in which BMR assumes full development and project management responsibilities up to commissioning.
With the wind farm, BMR and ENOVA continue their successful cooperation in North Rhine-Westphalia. Beginning in early 2026, five modern Nordex N163 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 6.8 MW, will be constructed in Nettetal (Viersen district). The wind farm, scheduled to be commissioned in 2027, will generate approximately 70,000 MWh of green electricity annually.
For BMR, the sale of the project marks another milestone in building strategic partnerships. The company contributes its regional development expertise to the cooperation and will accompany the project through to completion. With the acquisition, ENOVA secures access to another project in North Rhine-Westphalia and expands its regional project pipeline to over 300 MW.
Cologne-based GÖRG partners Thoralf Herbold and Dr Ruth Büchl-Winter advised BMR on this transaction, supporting in particular the drafting and negotiation of the share purchase agreement and the EPCM agreement.
BMR energy solutions GmbH has been active in the renewable energy sector since 1999. The company plans and implements wind, solar and hydrogen projects in Germany and manages their operations. The ENOVA Group is active as a developer, investor, service provider and operator in the wind energy sector and currently manages around 900 MW of onshore capacity. Both companies are involved in the development, operation and maintenance of wind energy projects and contribute to the implementation of energy projects in Germany.
