GÖRG advises Rootworx on a financing package

Cologne, 19.06.2026

GÖRG advised Rootworx GmbH on the initial arrangement of a financing package, including an acquisition credit line, to support the company’s ongoing buy-and-build strategy. Rootworx has been a portfolio company of the Ufenau Fund VII, advised by Ufenau Capital Partners, since 2024.

Rootworx is a network of engineering service providers specialising in critical infrastructure, sustainable urban and landscape planning, and innovative process engineering. The group currently comprises around 250 employees working across four companies at sites in Kiel, Hamburg, Schwerin, Flensburg, Hanover, Magdeburg, Erkrath, Gelsenkirchen, Mainz, Aachen and Bingen. Its clients are predominantly public-sector organisations that rely on the group’s many years of experience and technical expertise.

To support Rootworx’s ongoing buy-and-build strategy, a bespoke financing package with an integrated acquisition facility was provided for the first time. A GÖRG team led by Cologne-based partner Dr Thomas Lange provided Rootworx with legal advice.

The Swiss investment group Ufenau Capital Partners has, for many years now, regularly relied on the expertise of Dr Tobias Fenck and his team for transactions in the German market.
