GÖRG advised Implenia on the acquisition of Zigmo Engineering. With this move, Implenia is strengthening the Group’s engineering and planning capabilities and aims to establish a leading market position in this sector. The transaction builds on the two companies’ existing successful collaboration on projects.
Zigmo Engineering is a structural and project design firm operating in Germany with more than 70 employees across five locations. Headquartered in Frankenthal, the company possesses proven and forward-looking expertise in BIM-supported (Building Information Modelling) structural design, project design, WHG/AwSV consultancy, and model-based planning and decision-making processes.
With the integration of Zigmo Engineering, Implenia is expanding the service portfolio of its Service Solutions division and supporting the division’s strategy to position itself as a leading engineering and planning service provider in Germany and Switzerland. Implenia intends to continue growing in this sector within the German market and offers an ideal environment for Zigmo Engineering to develop successfully and benefit from shared synergies.
The acquisition agreement signed at the end of May 2026 to take over the structural and building design firm is expected to be finalised in mid-July.
