GÖRG advises Sage on implementation of international matrix organisation

27.11.2018

[Hamburg, ] GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB advises Sage GmbH, under the leadership of its partner Burkhard Fabritius, on the implementation of numerous projects in Germany which serve the complete implementation of an international matrix organisation.

Sage GmbH is the German subsidiary of Sage plc, the only IT company listed on the London stock index FTSE and one of the world's largest providers of business software for small and medium-sized companies with around 13,000 employees worldwide.

While the organisational structures of an international matrix organisation have already been introduced at Sage, key projects which serve to implement the new structure at the operational level have recently stalled. These include in particular the introduction of around 50 Global Corporate Guidelines. The global corporate guidelines comprehensively regulate aspects of operational work such as performance appraisals, data protection, whistleblowing, occupational safety and health, travel expenses or flexible working hours and mobile working. A new system of variable compensation will also be introduced in line with global guidelines and a new HR information system.

GÖRG partner Burkhard Fabritius has many years of expertise in advising international IT groups and had already represented Sage in the negotiations on the reconciliation of interests and social plan for the introduction of international organizational structures. Fabritius will legally structure the project packages and prepare and accompany the negotiations with the employee representatives.
