Cologne, 29.04.2024

GÖRG's partners' meeting decided last Friday to admit Dr. Daniel Rubner and Caroline Stevens, LL.M., to the partnership with effect from 1 January 2024.

"Caroline Stevens and Daniel Rubner are characterised by extensive experience and impressive expertise in their fields. We warmly congratulate them on their well-deserved admission to the partnership," said Dr Christian Wolf, Partner and Spokesman of the Executive Committee of GÖRG. "With these appointments, we are further strengthening the strategically important areas of corporate law and insolvency administration for GÖRG."

The new partners at a glance (in alphabetical order):

Dr. Daniel Rubner has been working in the firm's Munich office since November 2013, where he advises national and international companies on all aspects of corporate and partnership law as well as group and reorganisation law. Daniel Rubner has many years of experience in advising on corporate acquisitions (including distressed M&A), reorganisations and restructurings. He also specialises in advising on corporate governance issues and the liability of board members. Daniel Rubner is a lecturer in corporate law and reorganisation law at the University of Cologne and a regular author of the corporate law section in NJW Spezial. He is also a member of the advisory board of the Corporate Law Clinic, a student organisation that offers free legal advice to young companies and start-ups.

Caroline Stevens, LL.M. (corp. restruc.), is a specialist lawyer for insolvency and reorganisation law and started her career at GÖRG in 2014, initially in the restructuring department at the Cologne office. In 2016, Ms Stevens moved to the Bremen office and has also worked in insolvency administration since then. Since 2017, Caroline Stevens herself has been appointed as an insolvency administrator and trustee at numerous insolvency courts in Bremen and Lower Saxony. She also advises companies in crisis on insolvency law issues and supports management in self-administration proceedings. Ms Stevens has been a partner at GÖRG Insolvenzverwaltung Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB since 2019. From summer 2024, Ms Stevens will return to the Cologne office and strengthen the insolvency administration team at the Rhineland courts.

At the beginning of the year, GÖRG's Careers Committee announced the appointment of eight counsels and thirteen associated partners, including a total of eight female professionals, from its own ranks, who were thus able to reach the next rung on the career ladder towards partnership.
