Prof. Dr. Jens Gerlach Burchardi is a lawyer at GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB in Hamburg. He advises public authorities and companies operating nationally and internationally in the areas of public procurement law and public commercial law.
A key aspect of his work involves assisting public authorities in structuring procurement processes in a legally compliant manner, as well as advising companies on participating in public tenders. In doing so, he supports both public contracting authorities and companies through all phases of their projects. In addition, his areas of practice include EU state aid law, grant law and administrative law. In this context, Jens Gerlach Burchardi supports public authorities, companies and organisations, particularly in the implementation of state-funded projects. His sector focus encompasses the public sector, the healthcare and life sciences sector, and the real estate industry.
In addition to his advisory work as a lawyer, Jens Gerlach Burchardi serves as an honorary professor at Leuphana University Lüneburg. There, he teaches primarily in the university's examination centre. Furthermore, Jens Gerlach Burchardi is the author of numerous academic commentaries and essays in various areas of public law. Recent contributions to renowned legal commentaries address issues relating to state aid and public procurement law in public passenger transport, the interaction between the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act and public procurement law, and European fundamental rights to equality.
