The long-established foundry DIHAG Hasenclever GmbH (DHC), which specializes in steel and iron casting, was successfully restructured and transferred to DIHAG Solutions GmbH as part of self-administration proceedings. Around 450 of the original 600 jobs were saved and the continued existence of the site in Battenberg was ensured. The operational business was transferred to DIHAG Solutions GmbH, which reintegrated the site into the DiHAG Integrated Foundry Group. The successful completion of this reorganization represents an important step towards long-term stability and competitiveness.
A team led by GÖRG partners Dr Michael Schaumann and Christopher Schiller provided legal advice to the self-administration on the transaction. After the creditors' meeting had approved the transaction and the approvals of the Federal Cartel Office and the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy had been obtained, the transaction was completed.
The transaction was implemented swiftly thanks to the close cooperation of all parties involved under the leadership of Dr Sebastian Knapp.
