GÖRG provided comprehensive advice to Encavis on the acquisition of the Bebensee wind farm (Schleswig-Holstein). The 34 MW wind farm has been in operation since October 2025 and was acquired on a turnkey basis from the seller, PNE AG.
Located northeast of Hamburg, the five Nordex N163 turbines, each with a capacity of 6.8 MW, supply around 33,000 households with green electricity. State subsidies are secured through a 20-year EEG feed-in tariff. With this acquisition, Encavis is expanding its German wind portfolio to around 770 MW.
Under the lead of Cologne-based partners Thoralf Herbold, Dr Ruth Büchl-Winter, and Dr Ilka Mainz, the GÖRG team supported Encavis in this further transaction. The advice included the legal review of the project as part of due diligence and the drafting and negotiation of all project agreements and the share purchase agreement.
GÖRG regularly advises investors, operators and project developers on the acquisition, sale and realization of energy generation plants in the fields of wind, solar and storage technologies.
Encavis is one of Europe's leading producers of electricity from renewable energies. The company operates a broadly diversified portfolio of onshore wind farms, ground-mounted solar parks, and battery storage facilities in 13 European countries, including Germany, Italy, Spain, Denmark, and the Netherlands.
