[Berlin, ] Boxon Bulk AB, a company within the Swedish Boxon Group, acquired all shares in JBT Jumbotainer Verpackungs-GmbH, based in Syke near Bremen, in September 2012. The Boxon Group, headquartered in Helsingborg, Sweden, is a leading international group of companies in the field of packaging solutions and was already active in Germany prior to the acquisition through its subsidiary Boxon GmbH, based in Willich. Among other things, the Boxon Group distributes so-called “big bags” or “FIBC” packaging (“flexible intermediate bulk containers”) through Boxon Bulk AB, which are used in industry and commerce for the transport and storage of goods, ingredients, and bulk materials.

JBT Jumbotainer Verpackungs-GmbH is a leading company in this sector with a strong focus on the German market. With this acquisition, the Boxon Group secures a leading position in Germany in the bulk packaging sector. The seller of the shares was the management team of JBT Jumbotainer, the majority of whom will continue to work for JBT Jumbotainer GmbH following the sale.
