Dr Matthias Menke has many years of experience advising national and international companies, shareholders and the public sector on corporate law matters and corporate transactions, both national and cross-border.

In the area of transactions, he focusses on advising on business acquisitions and sales and, particularly, on complex joint venture structures.

A further area of focus is providing advice on corporate structuring, including formation of companies, capital, transformation and other structural measures as well as corporate governance matters.

Dr Menke regularly provides advice on corporate compliance, advice of board members and advice on corporate dispute resolution.

Dr Menke's clients include companies from the media and internet industries, from the financial sector and from the automotive sector, private clients, municipalities and other corporations in the public sector.

GÖRG's Frankfurt office since 2017.

Prior to joining GÖRG, he was a partner at a law firm operating throughout Germany and, before that, at a corporate law boutique firm in Frankfurt am Main.

After studying law at the universities of Munich and Frankfurt am Main, Dr. Menke completed his legal training in Frankfurt am Main with a period at a law firm in St. Louis, USA. He completed his doctorate in 1993 at the University of Frankfurt am Main with a dissertation on EU law under Prof. Dr Zuleeg, then a judge at the ECJ. During his studies and doctorate, he was a scholarship holder of the German Academic Scholarship Foundation.

He was admitted to the bar in 1994.
