[Hamburg, ] GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB put together the team headed by Hamburg partner Dr. Frank Evers that advised the Dutch Riwal Group on the acquisition of Germany‘s AFI-GmbH from the company’s founding shareholder. In addition to designing and negotiating the purchase agreement, the GÖRG team also addressed related issues involved in the transaction in the areas of tax, cartel and labor law.
The Riwal Group
Riwal is an international specialist in the area of safe and productive solutions for working at heights with over 50 locations in 16 different countries. The company’s international rental fleet consists of some 13,000 work platforms of various types. In addition to the rental and sale of aerial work platforms, telehandlers and forklifts, Riwal’s activities also include the sale of high-quality parts for such equipment.
Afi-GmbH
Established by its founding shareholder in 2003, AFI-GmbH specializes in the rental of work platforms, boomlifts, telehandlers and forklifts. Today, the company maintains a rental fleet of 1,300 pieces of equipment and operates throughout Germany with some 110 employee based at nine strategic locations.
