GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB, under the lead management of Dr. Yorick Ruland, advised Sparkasse KölnBonn on the granting of a loan in the amount of 20 million euros to 1. FC Köln. A guarantee from the State of North Rhine-Westphalia serves as collateral for the six-year loan.
Due to the revenue losses caused by the Corona pandemic, the club has concluded a loan agreement with its principal bank Sparkasse KölnBonn. The loan is secured, among other things, by a state guarantee program with which the state of North Rhine-Westphalia promotes the financing of companies.
In order to shoulder the problems, the football club has also agreed a club deal with several banks. Sparkasse KölnBonn was also advised by GÖRG partner Dr. Yorick Ruland and his team in this context and in the preparation of the associated collateral pool agreement.
