GÖRG provided legal advice to the former owners of IBB Institut für Berufliche Bildung AG (“IBB”) on the sale to a fund advised by NORD Holding. As part of the new partnership, NORD Holding becomes a shareholder in the education provider. The transaction was completed on 11 June 2026.
IBB was founded in Buxtehude in 1985 and is now one of Germany’s leading providers of publicly funded vocational training. With more than 850 certified, predominantly digital course modules across 20 specialist areas and around 700 employees, the company operates nationwide. Through the Viona partner network, IBB’s educational programmes are also accessible at more than 1,000 locations across Germany.
With the European private equity firm NORD Holding, IBB gains a new shareholder to support the company through its next phase of growth. The focus is on further expanding IBB’s market position, strengthening the Viona partner network and developing new areas of growth. This also includes the continuous improvement of service quality for participants, funding bodies and partners.
GÖRG advised IBB’s previous owners, through a team led by Dr Tobias Fenck, on all legal aspects of the transaction.
