Dr Andrea Zimmermann advises in the field of corporate law/M&A. She has extensive experience overseeing national and international M&A and private equity transactions, and advising on refinancing and restructuring. She can work either on the side of the seller or the buyer, overseeing the entire transaction process (bidding process, structuring, due diligence, corporate purchase agreements and post-merger integration).

Other key areas of activity include advising on structured company acquisitions (LBO, MBO, exits) and joint ventures, as well as associated solutions for complex shareholder structures.

She also deals with integrations and the divestment of shares or parts of businesses.

Leading multinational groups and medium-sized companies feature among her clients.

Career

Dr Andrea Zimmermann is a counsel in corporate law/M&A at the GÖRG Cologne office. Before joining GÖRG in November 2016, she was an associate at an international business law firm for four years.

Dr Andrea Zimmermann studied at the University of Bonn, and obtained her doctorate from the Institute of Tax Law under Prof Dr Rainer Hüttemann in 2011. She completed her legal training at the Higher Regional Court of Cologne, with clerkships that included the Federal Central Tax Office in Bonn, and the Cologne and New York (USA) offices of an international firm. 

She was admitted to the bar in 2012.
