The restructuring of AMEVIDA SE has been successfully completed. Under the supervision of attorney Nils Meißner, partner at GÖRG, as administrator, business was stabilized and taken over by STRÖER X. The call center and customer care service provider, headquartered in Gelsenkirchen, will be strategically developed further in the future. The transfer of operations took place on October 1, 2025, following approval by the antitrust authorities. As part of the transaction, more than 2,000 of the total of around 2,400 jobs were retained.
"According to the Insolvency Code, the primary goal of insolvency proceedings is always to satisfy creditors as best as possible. Against this backdrop, the result achieved here is something special. In addition to the positive outcome for creditors, it is particularly commendable that a large number of jobs could be preserved," explained attorney Nils Meißner, partner at GÖRG and administrator in the proceedings.
The management of AMEVIDA SE also expressed its satisfaction: "We are very pleased that we were able to find a sustainable and socially acceptable solution for our employees," said Dr Matthias Eickhoff, CEO of AMEVIDA SE.
The company was supported in the proceedings by an experienced restructuring team consisting of attorneys Thorsten Prigge, Johannes Blume, and Edward Stoye (activelaw, Hamburg), general representatives Thomas Ellrich and Dr Franz Zilkens (VOIGT SALUS, Cologne), and Valentin Röttger (AURICON Unternehmensberatung, Düsseldorf).
Nils Meißner thanks all employees, the management, and the consulting teams involved for their trusting and constructive cooperation. The successful restructuring is the result of a joint commitment in the interests of all parties involved.
Background to the proceedings
AMEVIDA SE had fallen into crisis due to a complex market environment and a massive increase in costs. The Management Board had initiated stabilization measures, but these could not be completed out of court. Therefore, on May 27, 2025, the company applied to the Essen Local Court for the initiation of judicial self-administration proceedings, which were opened on August 1, 2025. During the proceedings, business operations continued in full and all customer orders were carried out as planned.
