Dr Katja Kuck manages the Healthcare & Life Sciences sector group, in which GÖRG bundles expertise by bringing together a multi-disciplinary team of experts who advise clients working in the fields of healthcare, life sciences and biotech. Dr Katja Kuck has many years of experience in health law, and particular expertise in the field of regulatory and compliance matters.
A further key area of activity is industrial property rights and competition law. In this regard, Dr Katja Kuck advises national and international companies on all matters of trademark, copyright and patent law, as well as in the drafting and negotiation of licensing agreements. She manages judicial representation in injunction processes, both in competition disputes and other disputes.
Her sector focus is in the areas of healthcare & life sciences, media and entertainment, and trade and services.
Career
Dr Katja Kuck has been with GÖRG since 1997, and has been a partner since 2002.
After studying law at universities in Münster, Barcelona (Spain) and Cologne, Dr Katja Kuck completed her legal training in Cologne, with clerkships at business law firms in Cologne and at the Permanent Mission of the Federal Republic of Germany to the United Nations in New York (USA). Dr Katja Kuck spent a semester studying law at the university in Barcelona (Spain) with the ERASMUS programme. After the first state examinations, she obtained her doctorate in law at the University of Cologne under Prof Dr Herbert Wiedemann, on a topic of comparative law.
She was admitted to the bar in 1997.
