The business law firm GÖRG has provided legal advice to United Felts, a leading US manufacturer of cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) liners, on the cross-border acquisition of BKP Berolina Polyester GmbH & Co. KG (BKP).
United Felts, based in Martinsville, Virginia, is a subsidiary of Vortex Companies, a global provider of trenchless water and sewer infrastructure solutions.
BKP, based in Velten near Berlin, is a manufacturer of UV-cured-in-place pipe liners and related products for trenchless pipe rehabilitation. It is one of the global market leaders in the industry and is renowned for its Berolina liner system.
With this acquisition, United Felts integrates BKP’s operations, expands its portfolio in the UV-cured liner segment, and enhances its technical capabilities and international presence by combining manufacturing capacities and technological expertise. At the same time, global production capacities are being expanded and the market position further strengthened.
