GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB has advised, under the lead of Dr. Alexander Kessler and Dr. Christoph Müller, KMT Medical Incorporated (KMT Medical), a US based group of companies providing home healthcare services to consumers, on the purchase of noma-med GmbH, a major provider of home healthcare services in Germany, delivering products and services in the ostomy, continence, wound care, enteral and parental feeding areas.
The transaction has already been cleared by the Federal Cartel Office (Bundeskartellamt). As part of the KMT Medical group, noma-med GmbH will continue to provide its services in the German homecare market. KMT Medical and noma-med GmbH share similar business philosophies and the addition of this company will enhance KMT Medical’s ability to serve its German customers.
GÖRG and KMT Medical as well as its German subsidiaries, such as PubliCare GmbH and Livica GmbH, have a long standing relationship. GÖRG has been advising the group for years in several matters, particularly related to healthcare, labour and employment as well as corporate matters and M&A transactions.
The transaction underlines the firm’s M&A activity and competences in the healthcare sector for which GÖRG has set up its Health Care Practice Group that combines specialized legal expertise with indepth knowledge of the healthcare industry.
