Dr. Piero Sansone

Dr Piero Sansone advises companies operating nationally and internationally on all matters of individual and collective employment law. He is an expert in large restructuring and transformation projects, as well as in large-scale insolvency proceedings, in which he provides employment law advice to companies in self-administration and insolvency administrators. His expertise includes negotiating collective agreements with trade unions and works councils.

His other practice areas include corporate acquisitions and high-volume litigation.

Dr Piero Sansone has a broad sector focus, encompassing, amongst others, the automotive, retail and services, infrastructure, transport and logistics (including the aviation sector and rail freight), metal and electrical industries (including renewable energies), as well as healthcare and life sciences.

Dr Piero Sansone has repeatedly been recognised as a frequently recommended employment lawyer. Among others, he was named one of the ‘Best Lawyers’ by Best Lawyers & Handelsblatt in 2026. The F.A.Z. Institute and QuantiQuest recognised his outstanding legal expertise in 2026 by awarding him the title of ‘TOP Lawyer’ in employment law.

Dr Piero Sansone wrote his doctoral thesis on the topic of „Equal treatment of temporary workers under German and European Union law“, which was awarded the Erhardt-Imelmann Doctoral Prize, among other honours.
