He has extensive experience in advising companies in crisis situations, during company acquisitions (through insolvency) and the restructuring of financing. Dr Robert Brahmstaedt also specialises in reorganisation and security trusteeships. His focus is in the areas of renewable energy, and the shipping sector.

Career

Dr Robert Brahmstaedt is a partner in the Hamburg office of GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB. Before joining GÖRG, he was a lawyer at business law firm in Hamburg that specialised in commercial law.

After his law studies at the Universities of Passau and Münster, and a master course (LL.M.) at the University of Sydney (Australia), Dr Robert Brahmstaedt completed his clerkship training in Hamburg. He then gained a doctorate on an insolvency law topic from the University of Hamburg under Prof Reinhard Bork.

He was admitted to the bar in 2010.
