Together with SSW Pragmatic Solutions (Warsaw, Poland) GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB advised LERG S.A. (LERG) on the acquisition of a controlling stake in WeButex Kunststoffbearbeitung GmbH, a renowned processors of thermoset laminates.
LERG stands as one of Poland's leading resin manufacturers, specializing in the development and production of high-quality phenolic and epoxy resins used in the manufacturing of chemical products and technical laminates. In addition to this recent acquisition, LERG expanded its portfolio in 2020 by acquiring IZO-ERG, one of Europe's premier technical laminate companies and a long-standing partner and major supplier of thermoset products to WeButex.
WeButex Kunststoffbearbeitung GmbH, founded in 2008, currently employs over 120 individuals, with its headquarters situated in Roding, Germany, approximately 170 kilometers from Munich. Over its fifteen-year history, WeButex has grown from a startup into an international leader in the processing of thermoset laminates, selling its products in both Europe and Asia.
The transaction was led by SSW Pragmatic Solutions. A GÖRG team led by Cologne-based M&A Partner Claus Christopher Schiller provided comprehensive legal advice to LERG on the German part of the successful transaction. Pekao Investment Banking acted as exclusive M&A advisor to LERG.
