Expertise

Björn Epler advises national companies on all aspects of German tax law. He has significant experience in the field of insolvency tax law, which he acquired whilst providing advice in notable insolvency proceedings. Mr Epler also specialises in providing tax advice for reorganisation and restructuring measures and, in connection with this, has successfully completed a course to qualify as a consultant for restructuring and corporate planning (DStV e.V.). Another area of focus is auditing commercial annual financial statements and consolidated financial statements. The industries on which he operates include renewable energies, cinema and real estate project development. 

Career

Björn Epler is an associated partner at BWLS Strunk Stoffersen Partnerschaft mbB von Steuerberatern, Wirtschaftsprüfern und Rechtsanwälten.

Before joining BWLS, he worked in Hamburg at a national law firm specialising in insolvency administration for a number of years.

After his studies for the upper grade of civil service in the finance department at the College for Public Administration and Judicial Practice of the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in Güstrow, Mr Epler completed his tax advisor examinations in 2002 and qualified as a tax advisor in 2003.
