Expertise
Katharina Reiners advises national and international energy companies, as well as municipal energy providers, on all questions of water law, in particular on issues relating to material discharges into water bodies, and on issues of immission control and nature conservation law, in particular in connection with substance pollution of special areas of conservation, as well as on all questions of building law in connection with the approval of renewable and conventional energy projects.
She has many yeas of experience assisting with approval processes for onshore and offshore wind farms, and for large photovoltaic plants, as well as advising on the transactions involved in such energy projects. Katharina Reiners also has particular expertise in the area of drafting contracts in English, and in the enforcement of contractual and statutory claims for her international clients in ICC arbitration proceedings and before the regular courts.
Career
Katharina Reiners is Counsel at GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB.
She studied in Cologne, London (UK, ERASMUS) and Reykjavik (Iceland, LL.M.). Katharina Reiners completed her legal training with clerkships at the Germany embassy in Beijing (China) and at a major international law firm in Cologne, where she had previously worked part-time.
Katharina Reiners was admitted to the bar in April 2012, and has worked at GÖRG ever since.
