Christian Wolf has been working on distressed situations since the start of his legal career. After several years in insolvency administration at GÖRG, he now advises companies who are in the process of restructuring, on the one hand, and also creditors who are confronted with a distressed contractual partner. Christian Wolf also advises on restructuring-related transactions on both sell- and buy-side.

One further area of focus for Christian Wolf is the assumption of executive functions in restructuring, where his objective is always to avoid insolvency and maximize value for the stakeholders. The focus here lies on complex real estate structures, in which a variety of corporate and fiscal challenges often need to be overcome in addition to operational stabilization of the assets.

In addition to his mandate work, Christian Wolf is a member of the firm's Executive Committee since 2019.

Dr Christian Wolf is a partner at GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB and has been a member of the managing board since 2019.

He started his legal career at GÖRG and was appointed partner at the start of 2010. He is part of the practice group for insolvency law and restructuring.

Christian Wolf completed his degree at the University of Bonn, specialising in commercial and corporate law. He had previously completed a two-year apprenticeship at Deutsche Bank AG. Following the first public examination, Christian Wolf completed a doctorate in law, mentored by Prof. Otto Teplitzky on a trademark topic (passed with distinction). Parallel to this, he worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Commercial and Economic Law (Chair Prof. Karsten Schmidt).

He was admitted to the bar at the end of 2003.

Christian Wolf successfully completed his professional legal training in insolvency law at the Deutschen Anwaltsinstitut (German Institute of Lawyers) (DAI) in Bochum in 2005.
