Dr Kai-Uwe Schneevogl specialises in offering advice to (public sector) clients and contractors regarding procurement for public sector contracts and implementation of infrastructure measures, industrial building projects and investor projects. InIn particular, he specialises in offering advice to public clients and bidders in the field of German and European procurement law, real estate law and special plant construction (food sector). Furthermore, Dr Kai-Uwe Schneevogl offers advice on all matters connected with European State aid law, property procurement contracts, municipal and administration law. 

Dr Kai-Uwe Schneevogl advises primarily public sector clients on structuring and implementing (complex) procurement processes. He has extensive knowledge of European and national procurement law, and in recent years has overseen many well-known proceedings/transactions for clients at the federal, state and municipal level, making him one of the most experienced legal advisors for procurement projects in the public sector. A further area of focus lies in offering comprehensive advice to public sector clients in the field of ICT projects, and in implementing high-volume plant building projects for private investors. The focus is on procedural representation in review and appeal proceedings in the area of procurement law advice to bidders and investors, as well as comprehensive support and advice for the investment/participation in tendering processes on the bidder side.

Dr Schneevogl has been published comprehensively on these subjects and regularly holds specialist lectures. Furthermore, he is co-author and commentator on a variety of procurement law standard works, and a permanent member of staff for the magazines “Immobilien-und Baurecht (IBR)” (Real Estate and Construction Law), “Vergabe-und Praxisreport (VPR)” (Procurement and Practice Report) (both id Verlags GmbH publishing house), the juris-Praxisreport and the “neue Zeitschrift für Bau-und Architekturrecht (NZBau)” (New Magazine for Construction and Architectural Law). 

Career

Dr Kai-Uwe Schneevogl has been a partner at GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB since 2009.

Before joining GÖRG, he worked as a lawyer for a large English law firm, and previously for its predecessor firm in real estate in Frankfurt. He completed his studies in law at the University of Giessen. He then gained a doctorate, mentored by Dr Weick, with a thesis on a comparative law topic in the area of German and English civil law. As part his legal training, he completed his six-month internship at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in New York (USA).

He was admitted to the bar in 2000.
