Expertise

Dr Alexander Insam and his team advise national and international companies on all issues of individual and collective labour law. He has particular experience in shaping sustainable working conditions in works constitution law (e.g. framework agreement IT, mobile working, reconciliation of interests & social plan) and collective bargaining law.

Current practice areas are remuneration law for banks (InstitutsVergV, KWG) and advising on implementation issues of ESG guidelines, requirements and KPIs as well as on sfO. Finally, Dr Alexander Insam frequently advises on issues of executive board remuneration and liability as well as on share and stock option programmes (ESOP/VSOP).

Dr Insam also acts as mediator, facilitator, conciliator, legal coach, conciliation board chairman & ombudsman on request. He has many years of experience in conflict resolution in the aviation industry and shareholder disputes.

Through his practical experience as an ombudsman, Dr Alexander Insam also advises companies on the introduction and optimisation of hotlines and reporting procedures under the Whistleblower Protection Act.

Over the last 20 years, Dr Alexander Insam has developed a sustainable communication and negotiation training programme "Cooperative Excellence Trainings (CET)" for his clients, which helps boards of directors, executives as well as operational and social partners to achieve better negotiation results.

Career

Dr Alexander Insam, M.A. is a partner at GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB. 

Before joining GÖRG, he worked as a partner at a European commercial law firm and as a partner at a BIG 4 law firm as well as a lawyer at a major international law firm in Frankfurt.

After studying law at the University of Heidelberg, Dr Alexander Insam completed his legal traineeship in Darmstadt. He then completed his doctorate in labour law at the University of Heidelberg under Prof. Dr von Hoyningen-Huene on the subject of "Interference by third parties in the employment relationship - mobbing, pressure dismissal and headhunting". 

He also completed a Master of Arts degree in mediation at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder) and completed practical training as a mediator. Further training in conflict management took place at Pepperdine and Stanford Universities in the USA. 

Dr Alexander Insam was admitted to the Frankfurt bar in 2004. He has been a mediator since 2006 and has held the title of specialist lawyer for labour law since 2007.
