Dr Wibke Schumacher offers advice on corporate and tax law to international companies, and also to the public sector. In particular, she has extensive experience in corporate and tax law, as well as tax structuring of joint venture companies for energy or infrastructure projects. A further area of focus is advising energy supply companies and public sector companies in connection with acquisitions and reorganisations. She assists her clients with company audits and provides representation in legal proceedings before financial and civil courts, as well as before administrative courts on matters relating to tax law.

She specialises in the areas of energy, real estate and the public sector.

Dr Wibke Schumacher studied law in Cologne and Siena (Italy), and gained a doctorate in law at the University of Cologne, mentored by Prof. Barbara Grunewald. She completed a business studies course at the FernUniversität Hagen (distance-learning University of Hagen) and graduated in business administration. Following her legal training in Cologne, with clerkships at business law firms in Cologne and London (UK), she started her professional training at GÖRG and was admitted to the bar in 2005.

She has been a tax advisor since 2008.
