Dr Alexander Kessler advises national and international companies on all matters of company law, stock corporation and capital markets law, and M&A and private equity transactions. He is particularly experienced in corporate structuring, and managing both national and cross-border M&A transactions, restructuring processes and disputes. Dr Kessler is a member of our compliance and internal investigations practice group and is the member responsible for matters of stock corporation, group and capital markets law, as well as general compliance matters. Leading multinational groups and medium-sized companies, as well as founders and families, feature among his clients.

Dr Alexander Kessler has been a partner at GÖRG since 2014. Before joining GÖRG, he worked as a lawyer for a major international law firm in Düsseldorf.

After studying law at universities in Munich and Trier, he obtained his doctorate from the University of Münster under Professor Dr Ingo Saenger, on a topic relating to partnerships limited by shares. He then attended the University of Virginia where he obtained his LL.M. degree.

Alexander Kessler was admitted to the bar in 2005.

He qualified as an attorney at law in the US state of New York in 2007. Since 2010, he has been a visiting lecturer at the University of Münsterin corporate law and restructuring, as well as mergers & acquisitions.
